At Gyre & Gimble we want audiences of all ages to not only enjoy our work, but try it themselves! We hope these video workshops inspire you to have a go at puppeteering, whether you’re at home, in a classroom or at work.

We collaborated with the National Theatre to create a series of video workshops inspired by our Training courses and featuring members of Chichester Festival Youth Theatre. Each film focuses on a different element of our creative process when working with puppets: from making, to performance and devising:

 

 

 

Our tour of The Hartlepool Monkey featured a very cheeky and highly articulate chimpanzee puppet. Alongside the show our cast led workshops for audiences where participants could make their own paper prototype chimp, here Gyre & Gimble co-artistic directors Finn Caldwell and Toby Olié show you how:
